Eric Lore devotes his practice to helping clients resolve family law disputes, as he has for most of his legal career. He chose to focus on family law in order to help guide people through one of the most challenging and difficult periods of their lives. Eric understands that each client is unique, and he believes that every family law issue calls for a unique solution tailored to their goals.
Divorce, child custody, and related issues often involve heightened emotions, which can stoke conflict and make reaching resolution more difficult. Eric is known for his blend of genuine compassion and calm objectivity, helping clients feel heard and creating an environment that fosters productive negotiation and peaceful resolutions.
Recognizing that the family law process is unfamiliar to most people, Eric helps clients understand what to expect and gives them the guidance they need to make informed decisions that support their goals. He carefully explains the process, answers questions, and offers insight that comes from years of experience in the local courts.
Eric earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, after which he began working for a small law firm in Washtenaw County. That job inspired his passion for family law, giving him the opportunity to make a difficult and confusing time a little easier for the firm’s clients.
Eric pursued his law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, from which he graduated with high honors. Throughout law school, he continued to work for the same law firm, gaining invaluable experience in family law and alternative dispute resolution. After graduating from law school, Eric joined a small law firm specializing in estate planning, where he was able to focus on educating clients and helping them to prepare for the future.
Armed with this valuable experience, Eric opened his own law office in Washtenaw County, concentrating his practice in the areas of family law and estate planning. Not long after, he accepted an invitation to join Alane Family Law, where he has been an essential member of the team ever since. Eric now enjoys getting to help clients navigate the challenges of their family law disputes and move forward with their lives.
When not working to help clients protect their families and rebuild their futures, Eric can be found spending time with his wife and three children, rooting for University of Michigan sports teams (Go Blue!), and enjoying a round of golf whenever he gets the chance.
