Matthew was born and raised in mid-Michigan, where he has lived his entire life. Before joining Alane Family Law, Matthew spent 13 years owning and operating his own pizzeria, learning the value of hard work, community connections, and treating every person like family.

Matthew’s journey with Alane Family Law began in 2017—not as a team member, but as a client himself. That personal experience gives him a unique perspective and deep empathy for every person he encounters in his job. Matthew understands the challenges clients face because he has been in their shoes, and he knows how important it is to have someone in your corner who truly cares. As the Director of Client Services, Matthew’s mission is to ensure every client feels heard, understood, and supported from the moment they contact the firm.

Outside of work, Matthew’s greatest joy comes from his wife and four children, ages 9, 7, 6, and 4. Most of Matthew’s free time is happily spent at ballfields and sidelines, cheering for them in baseball, softball, and football. Matthew also grew up playing tennis and was fortunate enough to play through college—a passion that still sticks with him today.

For Matthew, family is at the heart of everything—both at home and at work—and he strives to bring that same commitment to every client he serves.
